So I have a Samsung Evo (forget the number, whichever one was the one from 3 years ago, 830?) 250 gb ssd as my boot drive. For some reason, it filled up randomly in the last week (no idea why, haven't installed anything to it recently that I'm aware of). As such, I'm looking to upgrade it to the 500 gb 850. How do I go about transferring my os drive to a new SSD so that I don't have to install windows again? Thanks!

The only way is cloning.

However, I strongly suggest you to do a clean install to avoid problems

Clean install windows and your programs, then drag your files to the new drive.

This is going to sound dumb, but basically youre saying do a clean install on the new drive, then I can just go into file manager and literally drag over the whole C: drive to the new install?
