I think the frontier will come out after computex the gaming variant though I think could potentially be a while off

The FE is labeled to be released in June, though it is more targeted to workstations.

I think it will be June or July because AMD said it would release in Q2 this year.

I reckon that there will be an official reveal at Computex in 2 weeks, but retail availability will be 3 weeks later or more.

The fact that AMD tried to keep the public excited by announcing the FE over the gaming variant, is, in my opinion, highly indicative that gaming Vega won't be here anytime soon.

VEGA for us regular consumers comes out in Q3.

The Q2 VEGA everyone was expecting turns out to be for professionals. (Not professional gamers)

At this rate I might as well buy a GTX 1070 since I'm only gaming on a 1080P monitor anyway.

I want to support AMD all the way but it's things like this that make me wanna bad mouth them. Don't worry, I'm holding off.

You can bark like a dog, but that won't make you a dog.

You can act like someone you're not, but that won't change who you are.

Finished Crysis without a discrete GPU,15 FPS average, and a lot of heart

How I plan my builds -

Spoiler

For me I start with the "There's no way I'm not gonna spend $1,000 on a system."

Followed by the "Wow I need to buy the OS for a $100!?"

Then "Let's start with the 'best budget GPU' and 'best budget CPU' that actually fits what I think is my budget."

Realizing my budget is a lot less, I work my way to "I think these new games will run on a cheap ass CPU."

Then end with "The new parts launching next year is probably gonna be better and faster for the same price so I'll just buy next year."

Delays in HBM2 are getting out of hand.  No wonder Nvidia stayed with GDDR5, 5X and 6.  HBM is a wonderful idea, but if you can't mass produce it, it's junk.

People are tired of waiting.  By the time Vega (gaming) launches, Volta will be just around the corner or already out!  RIP AMD.
