POWER SUPPLY HELP

[I just included a photo of the power supply I already have] I need help choosing a power supply this 

Is my first build so I have no idea what I should get (I do want to over clock this PC so keep that in mind) so if anyone could calculate and tell me which power supply I should get i would be very happy Thank You :)

 

[BUDGET ON THE POWERSUPPLY IS 100$]

Case: Nzxt s340 Elite

CPU: IntelCore i5 7600k [Everyone is criticizing this cpu I'm only using it because I got it as a gift]

NOTE: I do have a Ultra 650 watt ATX Power Supply but i dont know if that is enough. (If it is please tell me)

CX550m or S12ii/M12ii if you're more on a budget.

 

G2 or Seasonic G Series if you're willing to spend a bit more.

 

BTW, why a 7600k and not 1600?

It'd be nice to know a budget. And forget the Ultra power supply.

 

Assuming you have a reasonably flexible budget, I suggest the EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G3.

 

I'd also suggest getting s R5 1600 instead of the i5-7600K. Nobody should be buying i5s anymore.

The wattage is not the issue. The PSU is arguably the most important component in a PC. There's valid reasons for being paranoid about what PSU to use.  

 

@Mosaco Can you tell us the exact model of PSU? Ultra makes several different variants in that wattage.

I don't think that the AMD stock liquid cooler comes with the necessary hardware to mount it on an 1151 motherboard.

64A on the +12v rail is 768w, and this is a "650w" unit, so something is off. When ever there's discrepancies like this, it's usually an indication to stay away. 

 

It's not even an 80+ rated unit. I would strongly recommend you use something else. This is a time bomb, IMO.

 

DO NOT cheap out when it comes to choosing a PSU.
