OOBE (Out of box Experience) Windows Installation Guide + Noobie guide for installing Windows

domandric034

Hi !

This is a bit unusual topic for forum but this should show you how OEM's for ex. HP, Lenovo, Acer are pre-installing Windows on their PCs

I am gonna show how to install it Windows in OOBE mode.

Steps :

1. Create Windows Bootable USB

2. Put Windows Installer USB into USB port and boot into it

3. Select Language and keyboard input (Image 1)

1.thumb.png.c0ceababe71d82cbec5cb69efc7d735f.png

3a. Select Edition (if you use AIO) (Image 2)

2.thumb.png.b91d063744a99fcb35b0df641cfdbb11.png

3b. Select partition (Create and format) (Image 3)

3.thumb.png.2efad7dce15e7cd396c8301e889341c2.png

3c. Let it install

3a.thumb.png.bce745ae2c45256f6d577e197f3d74e5.png

4. When your PC restarts and wants you to go through initial steps like account creation, Use CTRL+SHIFT+F3 to enter Administrator account (It will take a restart) (Image 4)

4.thumb.png.80a008b8f2ebe23c54e204801c898b16.png

5. You can now install drivers and programs (You can restart but don't touch system preparation tool until you are done) (Image 5)

5.thumb.png.6679374dd4abc0570521328730b98bac.png

6. Run System Prepararation Tool to launch next reboot OOBE (Image 6)

6.thumb.png.b11a404608885052628b938c21484000.png

7. Go through initial steps (Image 7)

7.thumb.png.b59df52d86ef269b55ee1368fa8a51f6.png

This method is currently test on Windows 10 (Creators update). I cannot guarantee that will work on earlier versions of Windows

True, but not many people need it. You'd really only need it if you were selling a PC.

And damn, that long? That's a rip

No need to be so salty. It was quite amusing reading your very simple instructions, and let's be clear, his criticism isn't bad.

They are of course great for those of us who are familiar with the entire install process. But I might suggest adding a bit more detail for those users who are newer to the process.

I see that your OP says you'll update with screenshots - great! Good start, but definitely needs some work to be a good detailed tutorial.

I look forward to seeing how it looks after you update it.

For Sale: Meraki Bundle

iPhone Xr 128 GB Product Red - HP Spectre x360 13" (i5 - 8 GB RAM - 256 GB SSD) - HP ZBook 15v G5 15" (i7-8850H - 16 GB RAM - 512 GB SSD - NVIDIA Quadro P600)
