R9 290 in 2017

Is a XFX R9 290 double dissapation worth 100 dollars in 2017? Should I buy it for my rig?

If it's in PERFECT CONDITIONS then yes. Make sure you have a power supply that can handle it though.

That would depend on the model, 750w are more than enough but if it's a bad power supply it may still have issues. You also need to make sure you have the right power cables, that card should need an 8pin and a 6pin pcie connector (they can come from a splitter).

Yes a 290 is definetly worth it

i used my ref 290 on a 450w BQT E7 450w powersupply and it handled that easely , all you need is some juice on that 12v rail

Yes, but it's not a very good power supply (people have reported problems with them) so it may be a good idea to change it in the future, especially if you plan to buy expensive parts for your computer.

after rebate, yes. we don't consider rebates when recommending things, especially since I don't know where he lives - it was just a suggestion to show what he should be looking at.
