Cloning : Help !

im just about to clone my old HDD to new SSD im using macrium . my problem is my HDD is partitioned . C and D . the C drive is only for OS and couple of programs and the D is my apps and games etc . how to do this ? copy the 2 partitions C and D ? or just an C ?

 

i just want an OS to put in my SSD nothing else . so just copy the C right ?

I would highly recommend you do a fresh install instead of cloning as cloning can cause both performance and stability issues.

This is the best advice you will ever get, and if you running 1 hdd don't really bother to partition it, just install your games into a games folder and that is that. you don't get any benefits of splitting them.

You select the entire disk and then remove the D: partition.

You need the other parts as they may contain the backups for your system.

Use diskpart to delete the partitions you don't need.
