MarcusLibelus

Hey!

need help with this one, I'm planning to upgrade my system to Ryzen but I don't know which is better

i will be running:Ryzen 5 1500x(OC)

16gb Ram

rx 580 8gb( not planning to do crossfire)

Planning to use this as a work station(not editing, more like paper works and skype calls)

gaming will be heavy AAA games and MOBAs

the computer will be running around 16 to 20hrs everyday

thanks!

Use the PSU tiers list to verify brands/models to get.  You don't need the 1kW PSU unless you have a lot more or plan to stick a lot more in the system.

I'd stick with the Seasonic Platinum.  It's on the Tier 1 list.

If you are not planning on doing a multi-GPU setup, you could save a bit of money by getting a lower wattage unit. A 550w PSU would be plenty for your system.

Wondering why you want a PSU with such a high output when your system will draw less than 300W of power under overclocked load...?

See if you can find a Rosewill Quark 550W for cheap. It looks like you're looking for high efficiency since this system will be on all the time and the Quark would fit that role nicely.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.

My system: PCPartPicker || For Corsair support tag @Corsair Josephor @Corsair Nick || My 5MT Legacy GT Wagon ||
