Nope, nothing

Can you try another drive to make sure it's not your adapter?

If you have a 3.5" drive it most likely won't work. It has to be another 2.5" drive.

It's still a good idea to make sure your adapter actually works.

there is a light on the face of it that is working, not sure how else I can ever verify it works or not. I have only one free SSD to even use it on.

The light just means it's on. It doesn't necessarily mean it's working. As they say in motorcycle training class, the neutral light may be on, but don't believe it.

Anyway, if you don't have another drive to verify the adapter works and you're absolutely certain the drive does not show up on the computer (in BIOS, Device Manager, Disk Manager, File Explorer, etc.), then the next step is to plug the SSD into the computer itself, assuming this is a desktop. Or just replace the adapter. Or plug the SSD in the computer anyway and have a bootable Linux distro that can wipe the disk.

If you want to sell it, I would advice a secure erase. When you delete files in Windows, they still exist and can be recovered. If you want to properly delete the files - by overwriting the bits with random 1s and 0s, use a secure erase. But secure erase can be very hard with SSDs. In my case, Sandisk provide a software called "Sandisk SSD Dashboard" for such operations. Unfortunately, their software is broken and does not secure erase my SSD. I have contacted them before and long story short, they could not fix it.

Nevertheless though I would advise you to go to your manufacturer and get software to properly secure erase.

I have a couple of those adapters, one with a tiny power supply and the other is usb only. Neither of them work properly. I suggest getting a dock.
