Also coping and pasting random youtube videos isn't really helping your point go to 9:33 and my point is proved look at your videos before you use them as evidence.  The 1060 out preformes it

Wait is no one really suggesting the new RX580

It's kinda overbudget and only a slight improvement over the 480. But we are recommending it.

on one game, he was talking about overall. Amanda is really a joke of a game, very poorly optimized game with lots of glitches. looking at OP specs i would get something like

rx480/580 8gb- 1080p 60 fps ultra

gtx 1070- 1440p 60 or 1080p 144fps.

gtx 1080- 4k in most games

1080ti- true 4k card, most games at 4k 60 fps.

1060 is not really worth it because of the price.

a rx480 8gb costing more than a 1060 6gb?

at some retailer but if you look around you can easily find a rx480 8gb for cheap, on sale cheapest rx480 is 143 usd after rebate.

The 1060 3GB was probably made to milk fanboys. Its like back in the 8800/9800 days but with new chips every generation. Or the GeForce 4MX

everything can be cheaper on sale whats your point

point being the rx480 is cheaper and programs better in DX 12 and Vulcan titles, if OP wants to save money it would be a better investment. 8gb Vram with good software support goes a long way. 1060 is a good card but not really worth it, 1070 is a much better card or wait for vega if OP could spend a bit more.
