so i currently have a 4970k with a nzxt kraken x61 cpu cooler.  my question is should i over clock?  ive never done it before.  and if i do overclock my cpu, will i notice any differences?  also if i do it can someone acually help me do it thanks

you will see a difference but ask your self do you need to ie do you need the performance boost from it as it will reduce the life span on the cpu

well thats why im asking, my pc has been a little bit slowley latley, will i acually notice any differences

defragging a ssd wont make it slower

 

ocing your cpu won't help at all here

 

Id check dns or internet.

the effect is minimal unless your pumping extreme voltages and/or hitting very high temperatures. A 4790k kept under 1.4V and under 80ºC at full load might lose a couple months off its lifespan

don't do that, there's no reason to ever defrag an ssd and it's not good for them. Also iirc you shouldn't fiddle with the base clock if/when you do your OC'ing, bad jujus, much hardware death

This isn't an issue with your CPU more like an issue with your ISP, contact your ISP.

not really, if done properly it won't matter much. by the time your overclock kills your CPU, your CPU will be outdated.

I ran mine at 4.8 for over a year and couldn't tell the difference in anything lol
