Razer blade stealth buyers nightmare.

Ok so my friend asked me to help him buy a new laptop for on the go jobs, an ultrabook essentially.

 

I had given him lots of options but he wants good looks as well so when he saw my new blade stealth, he said i want one.

 

I warned him, that I had to wait 2+ months and preorder it so he needed to be patient and he agreed.

 

But since he went to pre-order it, Razer doesn't even let him do that. I was able to pre-order it 4 months ago so why can't I do it now, the site even says buy not pre-order so why does it take it me straight to home page after a few seconds any thoughts???

Went to google, got this site: https://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-blade-stealth

 

In the top left corner, I see "blade stealth", with a buy now button. (which makes me think you don't need to pre-order, it has been released, you can just buy one right now)

 

When I click on the button, I get a new tab. (why?!?) Page keeps loading, and then goes indeed to a new homepage thingy.

 

Tested this in Firefox, and IE. Their craptop site seems to be crap too. Not worth buying is my first thought.

Also: dafuq. Using a 1280x1024 screen. There seems to be some REALLY crappy scaling on that site. And I got some kind of warning in the adres bar.

*PS: added the same screenshot as a .bmp, because mspaint sometimes screws things up even moar. Stored as .bmp helps with that kind of distortion.

Yeah but how am I supposed to order it, if Amazon won't ship to Greece, and our local supply stores charge us for it 2000+$.???

Look man, I know that most people don't like Razer products, even I after owning one say with confidence that they could make a better ultrabook or laptop for the same money just with a few tweaks. Although that is true they have some unique properties that other companies don't offer such as "design, thinness, performance/ dollar is somewhere in the middle maybe a little better for the stealth" but I would recommend it to buyers, it is a very good product.

 

I think we had a debate about Razer a while back if I am not mistaken.

Yeah that would be an option but if you include transportation costs, the price would be only a little cheaper like 150 Euros, and it would take at least 3 weeks to arrive in Greece.

 

Anyway thanks for the advice guys,I contacted a sales person via e-mail in Razer and said that it would take at least 2 months for my pre-order to proccess-built it and ship it to my location, due to sales numbers but he said"don't know  if I should believe him" that if I wait a couple of weeks they might have a solution to the problem. 

For what it is worth my friend won't be buying it at least for the time being.

They "only" have: Shit support, shit cooling, bad battery life, bad keyboard, no QC at all, bad BQ.

 

For the price of a blade stealth you can get a ThinkPad T470s, which is better cooler, better battery life, better keyboard, worlds better support, insanely good BQ and really good QC, upgradeable ram and only weighs 100 grams more.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...
