Bluetooth earbuds and Win 10

So I wanted to connect my bluetooth earbuds to my xps 13. and for some reason I cant. I can select the earbuds as a device to connect to but the moment I connect it does one of two things and sometimes both. 

1. It disconnects and has "Paired" under the device name and doesnt allow me to connect again 
2. It stays connected but No audio will be sent to the earbuds the audio still comes out of the speakers. 

I've had this problem with bluetooth speakers before. So Im wondering how I can get this to work cause I really dont like being tethered to my computer while on my computer cause I hate cords.

Right-click on the Speaker icon. 

Find the Bluetooth buds and enable them.

If this doesn't work try updating the drivers for your Bluetooth adapter

and yeah I hate win10 sometimes I cant find anything but speakers

Are you sure they're paired and the ears are "on"?

So Ive tried 2 different earbuds 
Every time I try to connect them it returns to this having "Paired" underneath 
The earbuds havent actually connected properly yet

Open the bluetooth settings panel and put a screenshot of how it is now.

If it says 'Paired' it isn't connected. Are you sure the earbuds aren't just connecting to your phone? or other BT device?

yeah I turned off all other connected devices

I just did
It said installing drivers or whatever and after it finished it went back to "Paired" 
So im not sure why it disconnects

Turn your bluetooth off and on again.

Can you try reinstalling the Bluetooth drivers after deleting them from Device Manager?

So apparently Win 10 bluetooth drivers dont allow for Wireless earbuds =/

tbh I have no idea 

My unit says that it's refurbished so I have no Idea

You can try getting a different Bluetooth stack and seeing if that will help get through, but I can't help on this front since it could mess your card for worse.

I just checked the MS forum and appearently this problem has been around for something like 2 years. Its really dumb =/

Lenovo?

I would do some research on Toshiba BT stack and see if it may be compatible with your XPS.
