I think I got it this time!!

Tasuma

I've posted a few times on here trying to figure out the build I want to go with. Selling my old g4620 + gtx 970 rig to a friend as his pc is dying and frankly super old. So gonna use the money to help fund my new rig!

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Cheaper the kaby lake will be fine for what I need

CPU Cooler: Low profile and better than stock cooler. Just like having my PC's as silent as humanly possible.

Mobo: Has what I need. Nothing really to say here. Don't plan on OC'ing in mitx anyways.

Memory: Cheap. Can upgrade later.

Storage: Pretty standard. Nothing nuts. Equivalent to what I had in my old rig just with one ssd instead of two.

Video card: This had to have been the hardest part of the build. I know a lot of you are going to disagree with the 3gb 1060 but I want the game that comes with it so I'm ok with it. I am only going to be playing at  1080p. I mostly play esport games and WoW. Sometimes I will get a triple A game but not often. Was going to go with a 1050ti but figured I should spend a little extra for a much better card. I know the rx 570 is going to be what is suggested but I like the form factor of this card. I don't play games with insane textures and I don't mod stuff so 3gb will be fine for MY use case.

Case: Already have it. I love it. Amazing. 10/10

PSU: Not much to say here. EVGA I know has good PSUs. Don't want non-modular because mitx case.

Ok then replace the process with a 7400 and get the cheapest b250 board and you should be good.

Ghost recon wildlands. I know it got meh reviews but I enjoyed the beta a fair bit. And Graphics cards up to 310 mm in length (note: graphics cards longer than 170 mm will not fit with PSUs that exceed 170 mm). The smaller card makes it a bit easier to do "cable management" in an already tight case. I have a full length gpu in there right now and cables are a bit snug.

I swear I read your original post with regards to your GPU choice, but you really might want to consider this (even though it is an rx 570...):

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814126190&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker, LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

You don't have an MIR to worry about going through and the dual fans will make it the card a LOT more quite than the single fan gtx 1060 you listed. The Strix card I showed you has a 240mm maximum length where the Gigabyte GPU you showed me is only 16mm shorter at 224 mm maximum length. Also, the strix lineup is known for being very high quality so far (yes, gigabyte makes good nVidia cards, but the way they've cheaped out on amd cards is kind of off putting. That won't effect you with the 2 cards presented, but the strix brand is better). As for the game that comes with the GPU you selected, I guess that influence is totally up to you, but games go on sale for cheap all the time. I bet you'll find a deal on Ghost Recon Wildlands for $30 before the end of 2017... I guess if you just need that game and you need it now you have a really good reason to go with the 1060, but that seems like the only definite positive going for the 1060 since the strix I showed you costs the same (before the 1060's rebate) and is almost exactly the same length.

I bet you anything you're going to have a loud GPU every time you play a game since the GPU you selected will have to run its single 90mm fan very hard to keep the GPU cool in your small ITX case. I don't know how loud it will be since I couldn't find any good reviews though. The strix rx 570 will almost certainly be very quiet no matter what as well as provide more performance and freesync in case you ever hook up the PC to a screen with freesync.

Is the cryorig c7 tangibly better such that it is worth the $30 upgrade? Because the stock intel cooler should have no problem cooling a 6400. I would spend the $30 on a faster clocked 6500 if I were you and keep the stock cooler:

http://www.outletpc.com/mt3979-intel-core-i5-6500-6m-skylake-quad-core.html?utm_source=mt3979-intel-core-i5-6500-6m-skylake-quad-core&utm_medium=shopping%2Bengine&utm_campaign=pcpartpicker&utm_content=Intel%2B-%2BCPUs (Processors) > Intel LGA1151

It'll help a lot in single-threaded applications and older games. I don't know about the noise situation with the stock Intel cooler (I haven't used one in a very long time), so maybe the cryorig c7 and slower cpu would be better for you if noise is a big deal like you said. What do I know \(0_0)/

Also I'd use this PSU if I were you. The BQ series is not very high quality... not at all like the b2 or supernova series EVGA sells. This SeaSonic unit will last forever since you'll rarely exceed 50% load:

Alright know I know your going to look at this and be like, the BIOS is not up to date but from asking around my understanding is that most mobos have already been updated to that, or you can request them to update the mobo before shipping/make sure its updated.
