AMD Radeon HD 7870/7950

You might be able to get something used from Nvidias 700-series.

Those will give you some nice performance.

Used GT 730 1 GB GDDR5 or 2 GB GDDR5. I stress GDDR5 ONLY. GDDR5. Never get DDR3. Its the only way that the GT 730 is good in any shape or form. Sadly used the GDDR5 versions are very hard to find. But new maybe PNY might sell one of them for like 50$. They will have GK208 ships and 328 CUDA cores at either 900 MHZ (Somewhere around there) to 1006 MHZ and obviously feature 1 or 2 GB of GDDR5

second hand 750ti wouldn't be too bad... older cards like the gtx 660ti would need a beefier PSU

All my gpu purchases ever, 2x 5750 hd, 6790 hd, rx 460, probably in the future amd vega

Just avoid GT xxx Series if u want a decent gpu.

U can look on ebay for used  GTX 750/ti or Hd 7770 or Gtx 460.

The GT series was pretty good for the price. I personally would avoid the GT700 series. Unless you literally do not have a GPU at all. The GT640 was actually a decent piece of equipment. But yeah, if you can find a decent GTX 750, or even a GTX460, I would say go with that.
