Posted April 24, 2017 Hey all, so i have found an online Power Consumption calculator and i see there's Clock settings here, so if i want lets say to accurately measure how many/max W my PC will use what info i should drop here ? Lets say i will play OC'ed and in e.g. MSI Afterburner / official gpu site my core clock is like 10010Mhz ( i've heard that i need to divide it by 4, right? ), but here is max 3500 even afterburner shows 10k, also what does the Overvoltage stands for ? Is the same as in the Afterburner slider right ? So i should copy and paste it here right ? P.S. Ryzen 5 1600 + 1080 Turbo OC ends up at 740W~, is that true or 500W ( recommended PSU ) will do fine with 1796mhz / 50% overvoltage and 2500mhz mem clock ? Posted April 24, 2017 Increasing clock speed will increase power draw linearly (by small amount). Increasing voltage will increase power draw exponentially (by large amount). Increasing power limit will increase power draw depending on how much you increased the power limit. Overclocked R5 1600 + GTX 1080 in worst case scenario should not use more than 450W from the wall. In most games no more than 375W. Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/770870-how-much-gpu-oc-increase-w-draw/#findComment-9729280 Share on other sites
 Posted April 24, 2017 I would say minimal, i would never trust those PSU calculator websites, power draw is base from voltage which varies from card to card. I would suggest getting a Teir 1-3 (500-600 W) from below thread. Magical Pineapples
