Yes, exactly this. A 250GB SSD is more than enough for most people's boot drive, so that will help keep the price down. But if you're doing a lot of photo or video editing, getting a larger SSD will help with larger files a LOT.

Definitely. 

The difference in application load times and boot times is night and day. If you use an SSD, and go back to an HDD, you'll almost feel handicapped.

It can be, but after Windows updates and things like Chrome or Spotify being installed, you're cutting it pretty tight. You'd have around 20-40GB free, and Windows prefers to have at least 10-15GB of free space to work smoothly, so I'd really stress going for a 240GB or 250GB drive.

Yes, but once you install your critical programs (i.e. Chrome, Steam, etc), you won't have too much space left. I'd recommend at least a 240gb, and if you have the extra cash to blow, a 500gb in case you have some games that start super slow.
