ROG-STRIX-GTX1080TI-11G-GAMINGvs ROG-STRIX-GTX1080TI-O11G-GAMING

Hey Guys,

What's the difference between the two graphics cards?

Is the overclocked speed of the O11G the only difference from the 11G? Also Isn't the 11G overclocked since it is an aftermarket card?

One is factory overclocked, the other is not.

Doesn't really make a difference because of how NVIDIA GPU boost 3.0 works, so just pick the cheaper one.

So you are saying that there is no benefit in getting the O11G over the 11G?

If you'll OC it yourself then pretty much no...

They have a different vBIOS, allowing for a slightly (and I do mean slightly) higher power target/max voltage on the OC version. They also released an unlocked BIOS for the OC version of the 1080, so it stands to reason they may do so for the 1080Ti also.

There are also annecdotal accounts of ASUS binning the cards, with the higher performing cards making up the "OC" variant, although I would take these with a pinch of salt.
