IFixIt Pro Tech Toolkit Discount through Amazon.ca?

Zyndo

I've been fascinated by the Ifixit pro tech toolkit that Linus and friends keep going on and on about.... and my birthday is rolling around so I think its time to finally pull the trigger. Being that I live in Canada, I'm not going to order it from Ifixit.com in order to avoid the MASSIVE shipping costs in doing so. Ifixit recently got a work-around to this for us Canadian viewers (about a month or two ago) in the form of Amazon.ca so we can now order them without that atrocious shipping fee. Does anyone know if the WANSHOW discount codes work via Amazon.ca? or only through Ifixit.com? Not that I care too much about my 5 dollars either way, but it would be important for Ifixit to know that their advertisement through Linus actually worked, and that its something they should keep doing.

Anyone happen to have feedback on this issue? Or maybe even on the toolkit itself?

No it doesn't work, however using the affiliate code benefits LMG.

Just came to say that the Pro toolkit is amazing. I got one for my birthday and the quality is way beyond what I ever expected.

Question... are the bits magnetic (as in magnetic to the screws they contact, I know the bits are attached to the handle via magnets)? not a deal breaker or anything if they aren't... but I've never had a magnetic screwdriver and they sound handy.

And thank you for your input. it is appreciated :)

I have the older version (I get a bit jealous every time they whip out their newer one in vids) and they are magnetic. I don't see why they wouldn't be in the newer version.

Great kit, use it all the time and their tear down guides are great if you ever need a cheat sheet. I'm really tempted to get the newer one even though it's mostly the same stuff.
