Define C or P400s?

Hey

I'm currently considering either a Fractal Design Define C Windowed or red Phanteks Eclipse P400s w/ tempered glass. I really like the red PSU shroud and PCIe covers, but the shorter length and better cable management options of the Fractal case really get me. However, the p400s has a single built in led strip, so I don't really know. If anyone has any inputs on which of these has the best build quality, is the most quiet and such, that would be great. I'm using all aftermarket silence optimized fans from Corsair and BeQuiet, so the included fans don't matter.

Either case is fantastic. Both look very nice and both are built very good. Also they both have good customer service. But I will go ahead and say as an owner of the P400s and the P400 Tempered glass that it's hard for me to turn away from Phanteks. Here are pics of my builds.

Both are good in terms of build quality, the Define C will be quieter though. If you're not considering the TG version of the P400S, then I'd go with Define C, but if youre looking at the TG version its a harder choice (I like the look of tempered glass so)

How would they stack against each other today with the new Define C Tempered Glas available ?

They'll probably be very similar if no indiscernible form one another. I would go with which one looks better to you

No worries :P

 

I'd get the Define C, it should be slightly quieter with all the dampening foam, and I personally think the Define C looks better, it's physically shorter as a result of removing the drive caddies in the front and putting them behind the motherboard tray and underneath the PSU shroud. The recessed cable management section for the 24 pin, PCIe and other connectors is very nice, and gives it more space for thicker cables.

Can't see any of those pictures =/

 

I'm leaning towards the fractal, based on Pelarks suggestion, as well as the good track record I have of Fractal Design. (have owned R2 and R5, built in R4 and many other R5 for friends).
