CLEVO P650HP3 vs XPS 15

I've been looking around for a good laptop for college that would be capable of light gaming, and I'm caught in between two options here.

The XPS 15 is an attractive choice, but the CLEVO P650HP3 looks like it would be a better build for the price.

This is my first laptop purchase, so any input, as well as any other recommendations, is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Anytime you buy a prebuilt machine, make sure you're considering a company's support.

If you have a hardware failure, do you have to send it off to a depot for warranty service or is there an option to have a tech come to you?

That's an important consideration for me. I don't want to have a machine out of commission for two weeks.

Dell has onsite warranty service available. I don't know about the other.

is better. same machine, different retailer + prema mod when available.

Also, depends what you want to do with it. XPS15 is the better all around machine, the P650HP3 is the better gaming one.

If you want pure value you should opt for a Dell 7567 i5 + 1050ti ($850) + DIY 15in 1080 IPS panel ($50). For about 900 dollars.
