Uuuum, help. I brokeneded something again.

I have just turned my gaming PC on, but it can't load into windows, it can load into the BIOS, but can't get past that into windows, I can see the first windows logo, bit nothing after that. what's happened here, what's went wrong. I have a gigabyte Z97P - D3 and a i5 4590 (long story on the pairing of the two, which I can't be arsed going into), R9 380 and 4X4GB of RAM. Will I just need to re install windows, or might it be possible to get away with the repair feature of the windows install, (if I do this is it possible to lose information) I have reset BIOS though the BIOS as I would rather not need to open the PC up to remove the battery as that's a pain in the arse, but the problem continues, what should I do??? I have a feeling that a new install of windows is needed. I am able to get into a USB windows installer drive by the way

Did ur pc turned off after that or restart?

Try to change the drive option from ahci to ide or from enhanced to compatibility.

Or it can be corrupted windows files try to use safe mode by pressing F8 after POST and choose safe mode if u cant log into safe mode then its likely to be either HDD problem,Data cable,the windows itself or BIOS settings.

by nothing I mean a black screen with a mouse pointer in a loading symbol mode.

nope, it just stayed on that screen for ages, not coming off it.

 

I just tried the f8 thing, missed it and it loaded perfectly, so I don't know what's happened as it was not working at all, and now suddenly it is, I have literally done nothing between when I posted this post and now, and it's fixed it's self, uuuuum yea, I know what I did, nothing, but it worked so meh I'll take it

just cheaked them through CMD, all of them are working fine according to that

I'll check with the other one, but it looks like my PC was just having one of those moments for no reason at all

You could try installing Linux (say Ubuntu) as a secondary os and then boot into that and try and find what the problem is, but if you can't boot into Windows you could theoretically install Linux and use it to copy all of your files off if you don't already have them backed up.

it's working now, I have no idea what went wrong but it's fixed itself now, somehow

yea, it just suddenly stopped being brokeneded and became unbrokeneded without me doing anything apart from pressing F8 at the windows logo which did nothing
