How much should i sell my old computer for and were?

I'm selling my old computer that i dont need. the specs are below. Im planning on asking my friends/ family if they want it and if they dont then i will sell it online. What site do you recommend to sell computers? Thanks! 

 

CPU: AMD 965  

GPU: MSI Twin Frozar III r7870 

MOBO: ASUS m5a97 r2.0

RAM: 8GB DDR3 

PSU: 750tx corsair

STORAGE: 250GB HDD 

Also comes with a legit windows 7 Home key that is able to be upgraded and works with windows 10. Windows can be pre installed with all the drivers.

Not really worth much due to its age, also dont sell it with the harddrive, people can get all sorts of shit off it even after formatting. You might want to consider parting it out also as alot of people dont want to buy a full system when its that old. Also good places to sell are ebay or https://www.reddit.com/r/hardwareswap/

the hard drive is new ish. It was not my hard drive in the first place. it was a short lived school laptop .

They can't get anything off it if you wipe it proper. Use dban for a proper destruction of the data :D

I prefer using Mosin Nagant, guaranteed 100% wiped.

Well any program that properly writes zeros to the entire drive and file system will wipe the data out just fine. Even CCleaner can do it.

Shooting a drive would do the job too. Make sure to use incendiary rounds

Ship it to free geek or a similar organization, they should cover shipping and you can write it off on taxes as charity
