Playstation network down already

Why do we need a service? We have steam for games we have TONS of social network services etc. Hell we have the whole internet. What makes you want another service on top of that?

because none of it is as integrated as psn or xbox live. We need a pc gamer social network. Imagine facebook just for gaming.

I remember a post on the forum from back in the V bulletin days I think where someone linked a social network for gaming. I'll try and see if I can dig it up.

Launch Day Expectations - On any Platform

Waits for everyone to be annoyed or go to work or sleep/whatever..so I can play.

Happening more in the last 5 years than the 10 years before it. Relying on Technology that has its own pitfalls... -1 for Human race

Xfire, Raptr, all those types are meant for this social gaming yes?

I dont think this will happen to Xbox one because of all the cloud servers and dedicated servers they have been talking up for months.

I call this bull. Both companies have servers dedicated for their gaming networks. This was clearly due to the number of people on the servers, plus it seemed to only occur on the 14th (as one article's image shows) or early hour of the 15th. It's been resolved since then because I've been on the network every day for the past week (nephew watches Diego on Netflix) and there has been no official announcement on the PlayStation blog, therefore it is nothing major. End of story, move on...

I think microsoft might be a little bit better prepared thats all.... No need to be curt.
