Hi Guys,

It's my first time buying on ebay.

I'm trying to buy a graphics card, and I found one which is still in package, but half the price of what it costs in shop.

What should I check for safety reasons first?

And If I get tricked, what options do I have for a refund or something similar?

always go for 90%+ with 1k+ sales

The seller is 100% positive with feedbacks, but like 34 transactions. Bad sign? fake?

Paypal is so buyer friendly it is ridiculous. It is very easy to get your money back.

Guys please explain it to me?

I get that 34 is low, and for money, people could've easily made some fake accounts and added good reviews.

But please explain to me, how paypal can secure me, if I get scammed and the item never leaves the country.

This is pretty much how it looks on the profile. I can't tell if he's new and good, or if it's an obvious fraud.Capture.PNG.c7d17a87c6e407abbd41ec61654e5054.PNG

Ebay and Paypal is buyer friendly, that is true.

I would not buy from a seller with only 34 sales.

Fuck I have seen sellers with 0 sales.

Why wait 3 months and the product never comes? why?

Sure you can gamble, but if a deal is too good to be true, its probably stolen or a dud.

And If I see that it's been over a week, where the card SHOULD have arrived by now.
There is no way, I can get my money return on the spot?

What options do I have then?

Why? If he uses paypal and is 100% positive?

Dude, what do I do, if the item never arrives?

Can I get a refund through ebay or paypal or something??

Just google paypal buyer protection.

But basically the buyer complains that the item is not as described or didnt receive it and paypal freezes the money. They decide if you get a refund... and the very often agree with the buyer.

I personally withdraw my money as soon as possible but it is not possible for all items until the transaction is completed.

You get your money back in 4 months or so. The seller will just claim its been shipped when it has not been.

Lots of scammers around, but I have gotten everything I paid for by buying from sellers with a high % rating and lots of sales, usually 1000 or more sales.

Agree

Alright, but In that case, I'll guess you have to document what the problem was to Paypal,

and You'll have to show pictures of the defects with description etc.

What if the guy just never sends the item??? Then I have nothing to show as evidence.

Then you automatically won the dispute because the seller must show proof of shipping

Basically the buyer can complain so easy but the seller always has to proof that the buyer is wrong / fraudulent.

That is why they should use tracking. But if its coming from China, I've had items come 3 months from when I bought.

Its called the slow boat.

I have seen it where the item has been shipped, yet its a long weekend and purchase was made at midnight Saturday or something.

People know how to work the system, oh they do but ebay and paypal are very PRO BUYER, add to that your using your credit card for Paypal, you have even more protection.

Do not buy from a 34 sales wanna be, just dont.

So what's the worst thing that can happen from buying off a guy with 34 sales then?

It looks like this currently

So ebay protection is ON I guess.

And it seems like paypal or ebay will refund the money if they don't ship the item, or if I get a wrong item.
