i7 or ryzen

I want to stream in my pc, but i have an i5 6500 and a gtx 1070 and i was looking for a streaming cpu and i came across the i7 7700k and the ryzen 1700 for the same price, i'm hoping to let you guys clear this

Id keep your current cpu it will be fine. 

 

But if you gonna upgrade, id go ryzen.

No.  Especially if streaming at 1440 or higher

Bitwit also had a video testing performance hits while streaming & gaming. Ryzen had overall a better performance for gaming while streaming.

Complete depends on the resolution. The higher the resolution the less likely it will bottleneck. R7 1700 generally starts to bottleneck when you get into pretty high framerates which really isn't a big deal of you can deal with 120 vs 130 fps. You may be able to get that little extra fps with the 7700k but the r7 1700 will be much better at streaming so it's really a tradeoff

If you're willing to buy a new board you're probably better off with the R7 1700.

Depends on what you want to stream, if they are high cpu games ryzen will be better. If not, either way.

For streaming the Ryzen is better, but you might be able to update your bios and swap the 7700 into your board for less money.
