'Microsoft basic display driver' is appearing instead of my EVGA GTX 1050 ti.

I recently purchased my Lenovo H50-50 about a year ago and it was working perfectly up until I tried to install a GTX 1050 ti.
As the title explains, every time I go to turn on my PC the resolution defaults to 800x600 instead of the native resolution of 1920x1080. Plus every time I go to play a game it won't load as I don't have the 'Minimum Hardware specified' even though I maxed out on the graphics before this all happened. Also, sometimes when it does load, it says that my graphics card is the Microsoft Basic Display Driver.
However, once in a blue moon it decides to go back to 1920X1080 and allows me to run the games. That lasts for no longer than a few minutes before the PC crashes on me and I have to restart it, only for it to go back to 800x600 and not allow me to launch any games. I've tried clean installing the Graphics card drivers, uninstalling past drivers with the DDU and factory resetting the whole PC. Also, I updated the bios. Also, I used the DDU to uninstall and reinstall Geforce Experience. None of which worked. In device manager, it says that my graphics card has error code 43. Also, in device manager, when I go to view and go to show hidden devices, it shows Microsoft Basic Display Adapter (Second Picture.) Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Make sure your monitor is plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard?

Make sure all connections are in properly. What power supply do you have?

Have you installed EVGA's utilities and seen if they can recognize it? And is it just the normal EVGA 1050 Ti? I just got the EVGA 1050 Ti SC, and it is running fine since I installed Nvidia's drivers. Also, from device manager, have you tried uninstalling the device, then manually reinstalling it and pointing the installer toward the Nvidia drivers?

Is the monitor plugged into GPU like @CostcoSamples (love your name btw) said? Also is the GPU fully in?

Just adding here to what others have said above, but have you set the discrete GPU in the BIOS as default GPU?

Please quote my post, or put @paddy-stone if you want me to respond to you.

Make sure all connections are correct both to the PSU and the Mobo.

Well, I only plugged it into where the power supply could go into and not in the GPU (It doesn't have a slot for that)

Well, It's a mix of OEM parts and "real" PC parts. Other thing to check is your PSU. The computer some of the parts came from only had a 130W PSU, so I switched out a 550W PSU from a different desktop. The problem could be the GPU isn't getting enough power.

Yup. I put in the graphics card and booted it up, and then it ran at some funky resolution until I installed the Nvidia drivers. It's working fine now.
