The Asus one does 100Hz while the Acer only does 60Hz I think (I could be way wrong about this one.

For the Acer there's a gsync and freesync version and Asus always has gsync. Although judging by your profile picture I don't think you would care about freesync.

I have never seen the Asus one in real life, but the Acer one does have a big stand..

I don't think that applies to a thread like this with two specific products. If it were 'who is better, Acer or Asus??' it would be different.

Anyways if you think this thread may not comply with the rules, by all means report it and a mod will check it out and judge over it

To OP;

I'd personally pick the Asus ROG because Asus ROG line ups are well known for their great build quality, that is actually the next monitor I'm buying, the ultra wide 1440p one, in my personal opinion this is one of the highest end monitor available and you can't go wrong with it

This thread is alright. it's really the broad, general questions that have no real answer or are likely to turn into a heated debate.  If things get out of control here we will handle it on a case by case basis.
