Rate my $1500 Streaming PC Build

Brama

Link: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Brama/saved/#view=PXCvK8

Purposes: Gaming, Streaming, Minor Video & Photo Editing

Games to Play: Ark: Survival Evolved, For Honor, LoL, Overwatch, GTA V, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wild Lands, Battlefield 1

Is the build good for the price? Should I add something? take something away? Tone something down.

The things im sort of uncertain on is the Case, Mobo, RAM (Too much? good choice?),

Monitor good for gaming? should I got with a Faster TN Panel instead?

Should I try saving for the 1700x or is the 1700 good enough?

Any input is welcomed and appreciated

Way too much RAM, but a solid build overall. B series mobo isn't even that bad with 9 power phases, which is pretty good

Maybe get a 2TB HDD

idk

i agree def don't need 32gb of ram unless you specifically want it for after effects or something ram intensive

I was thinking the RAM might be overkill. Wasn't certain. The Mobo I have selected is due to the 32GB RAM. Before the 32GB RAM someone suggest adifferent MOBO -

Is this one a better choice?

No, the PRO4 is fine, in fact it's one of my budget recommendations for a B series board

idk

Okay, thanks. What would recommend for the RAM 2x 8GB or 4x 4GB

if u r not getting a HDD i would bet a better SSD with high endurance if u are going to be doing video editing and streaming. I would go with a 960 Pro or EVO m.2

might be a good idea to get g.skill flare x ram since it's ryzen optimized, give it the best chance of hitting its rated speed since ram speed is good for ryzen

While the stock cooler is quite good, I would recommend something like a large aircooler or an AIO instead as to get the best performance you need to overclock the chip

idk

Is the RYZEN 7 1700 really so much better at gaming while streaming that it is a clear better choice over the i7-6700k or i7-7700k?

Yes it is, and pairing it with fast ram (I would suggest 3200 corsair lpx) will bring it within 10% of the 7700k at 5ghz in gaming. Not to mention that the 7700k without de-lidding is a nightmare with temps (easily 80c on an AIO). I would also get a slightly cheaper ssd like the su800 and then get a better quality psu like the seasonic ssr for only $5 more.

K thanks for the info. Isn't the RAM bottle-necked at 2666 due to the motherboard tho?

That is the same ram that was sent with the review copies, and people have been having a good time with it. Don't worry if you have to run it at slightly higher timings (cas 15 or 16) or voltages (1.4 should be good if you cant get to that rated speed with stock) to get the higher speeds since speed is MUCH better than timings on latency for ryzen.

I just saw that that NewEgg has the MSI GTX 1080 Duke on sale for $500 which is $45 cheaper then the ASUS ROG Strix I have selected.

I also noticed the ROG Strix I I have is the A8G-Gaming not the O8G-Gaming which is the ROG everyone praises so highly but it it's the most expensive going for $680

Obviously the 1080 is the much better choice here now and I hihgly doubt that even if I waited for the Easter Sales that I am going to get a better deal on a 1080 GPU

Opinions on this case tho? Is it a much better option over the case I have selected?

How about this MOBO combo with Ryzen

https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.3442150

Is the ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4

http://pcpartpicker.com/product/CczZxr/asrock-fatal1ty-ab350-gaming-k4-atx-quad-cpu-am4-motherboard-fatal1ty-ab350-gaming-k4

Better than the ASRock AB350 Pro4

http://pcpartpicker.com/product/yBtWGX/asrock-ab350-pro4-atx-am4-motherboard-ab350-pro4

The Fatal1ty combo is actually $5 cheaper. But MOBO are confusing to me. I'm not sure if it's better or worst for my needs -_-

There's an even cheaper combo with the MSI B350M Gaming PRO AM4 AMD B350 SATA 6Gb/s HDMI Micro ATX

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813144019&ignorebbr=1

OR One with the ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS AM4

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132965&ignorebbr=1
