It's ok bro, we all start somewhere. If you are still looking into sleeving and want to do it yourself you can do it for fairly cheap if you use paracord, it can be time consuming and paracord only really comes in one diameter, but if you put in the work the outcome will be great. If you look on amazon you can get paracord in a wide range of colours and patterns.

Paint can chip off as the cable is very bendable. And also you can get paint in the connectors and then it gets bad

I have used a plasticoat paint that I bought at home depot and painted my front header wires black.  The case is 4 years old and has never cracked and I have bent them a lot.  Sleaving looks much better but for $8 in paint you are done.
