Acer XR342CK thoughts?

Right now I have two 1080p 23" Dell IPS monitors. Overall I have been happy with them... but:

1. They don't take advantage of my hardware and I'm ready to upgrade.

2. I don't like the separation of the two. They are just kind of a pain to wire and align.

So what are your thoughts? Have any other monitor suggestions?

NOTE: why I don't get 4k: while I love how sharp 4k looks, I need screen real estate over sharpness. - I'm a programmer/student

This is one candidate I'm considering for my new monitor.

Why I'm still considering, is because I'm not sure I will be switching over to team red just now (I'm currently on team green). Also I'm not convinced about ultrawide, and I'm still pondering between 16:9 or 21:9.

As for other similar displays: The stand is hideous (I've inspected one similar from ACER, if not this very same model, at a shop). Makes any space under the monitor and between the legs practically useless - so better have a big desk. Flat stands look way better/stylish (IMO) and are more practical. But you can always use a separate VESA stand/arm.

That Acer model stands out because of the 4ms repsonse time and 75 Hz. (only one, I think).
What I REALLY dont like about it is tthe stand. What Wild Penquin said.
If I got that one I would use something like an arm and VESA mout it  to make it more versatile.

Love 21:9, a co-worker at work lets me it use on Friday.
I want one 21:9, oled though. *praying*

theyre fantastic monitors. uses the same panel thats inside my x34a. you will not be dissapointed.

i also hear most users can overclock their 75hz refresh rates to 85hz or higher.

Have you had much experience with any screen tearing when gaming?

I'm looking into the X34 now because I'd rather not have screen tearing.
