1060 (https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1060-3GT-OC.html#hero-overview) for 224euro

970 (https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/gtx-970) for 189euro

I even don't know which card is better, but from several benchmarks 1060 seems a little bit faster. But is it worth the extra money? Which one has better price/performance? I will be gaming (mostly csgo) at FullHD

Thanks

P.S. both of these cards are cheapest 1060 and 970 in my area.

1060 3GB's are a scam straight from the factory, don't waste your time. An RX 480 is faster and cheaper than both of these cards.

CPU: INTEL Core i7 4790k @ 4.7Ghz - Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 - Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X SLI - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares 2400mhz - GPU: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G - Case: Phanteks P350X - PSU: EVGA 750GQ - Storage: WD Black 1TB - Fans: 2x Noctua NF-P14s (Push) / 2x Corsair AF140 (Pull) / 3x Corsair AF120 (Exhaust) - Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red - Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

Rx 480 is the same card as the 1060 with more vram and generally cheaper, get that

Cheapest RX 480 is 214euro.

I guess the question is 970 for 189euro vs RX 480 for 214euro. Is RX 480 worth extra money?

Rx 480 you get a warranty and it's new which is a plus. It's also a decent bit faster, I'd go for the 480 but it's obviously your decision to make.

Plz don't use those sites they're utter trash. Sites like Anandtech or Tom's hardware are way better.

Well, it's a much faster card and worth extra money as a result. Both the RX 480 and the GTX 1060 are usually closer to the GTX 980 than the 970. It's just a question of whether or not you actually need a card faster than a 970. If you're only playing CS:GO with it, you may not.

I agree, it isn't very good. It does give you a general overview of the card though, and it is good as a reference point. The benchmark is good but the way it distributes points skews results.

the gtx 970 performs just a few fps worse but has 512mb more usuable vram than the gtx 1060 3gb. if you can find an rx 470 that's the same price or slightly more expensive/cheaper or an rx 480 i'd get that instead but otherwise i'd go for the 970.

? rx 480 4gb and gtx 970 have the same amount of usable VRAM.

It's "usable", just not usable enough to be very useful really.

His sentence phrased it in a way so that it sounded like the 970 had 1/2 gb more VRAM than the rx 480. Anyhow, there is 4gb, the last 1/2 gb is just slower.
