What Grease/oil is the longest lasting that does NOT run? (for plastic)

I remember pulling apart old RC cars and the gears were greased with some kind of plastic grease that didn't run. Does anyone know what this is and where I can get some, maybe Amazon or Lowes? Or maybe you have a better idea for my issue explained below? 

I unfortunately cannot afford a Mechanical Keyboard and my current one is a Membrane entering its locky, sticky, grabby stage. My last keyboard I made last with 3 in 1 oil. The problem with it was its runny-ness. I had to reapply oil every few weeks and thoroughly clean it. Any ideas on the grease I mentioned or a suggestion of your own?

I made the mistake of Vegetable Oil. Worked well for two weeks but the dust in it now acts like Molasses. Gotta clean it and substitute with something, I don't know what. 

I do have some Bearing Grease that is water resistant. It's designed for Metal, would it eat at plastic or make a future mess?

The metal lubricant you've got probably doesn't eat away at plastic because plastic parts are often in the vicinity of metal parts.

I don't think you want that high of a viscosity on a keyboard. If you want similar silicone based grease look for marine grease. It's thick, blue, and is waterproof.

Just keeping this here as a Have you looked at 30-weight silicone lubricant? Usually found in airsoft or hobby stores and hardware vendors like Lowes.

Like W-L said, it need to state that it is plastic safe or the plastic will get brittle and crack in short order. FWIW, WD-40 is the worst for plastic parts.

CRC brand available lithium EP grease which is suitable for plastics. Personally I use the fat torches and radios, aluminum seals and threads with a tendency to hang.

CRC KP 2 N-30 grease on 100ml packs which will last a really long time.
