Hello!

I've been parts of this forum for a while now, but never written a post myself.

I am well aware that it might be a bit over the top, and the decreasing value/cost over a certain point.

Sorry for the grammatical errors within this post.

1. Budget & Location

I'm from Denmark, so everything is quite expensive.

I would like to spend ~25k DKK, which would be ~3500USD or ~3300EUR. Would also like to keep it at 1 or 2 vendors, just for the ease :)

The price is a bit skeewed for pcpartpicker, because of the increased cost in Denmark.

I dont want to use any of my old parts, since they're pretty outdated. (Shit ;) )

2. Aim

I'm building the pc primarily for MMO games, a bit of recording. For those not aware, MMO's tend to be CPU heavy. It has to be pretty siilent, since i'll be on voice com. most of the time.

3. Monitors

I plan on using 1 ROG Swift PG279Q for now, but maybe i'll add another one in the future.

4. Peripherals

I need a new keybord to go with it. I've been looking at the Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 (orange switches).

5. Why are you upgrading?

The setup i have atm. is quite outdated, and has a bit of problems keeping up.

I am a bit unsure about the fans (cooling in general).

Any details/help, big or small would be greatly appreciated.

This is what i've put together so far:

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/TQFWwV

(Just swap out the 1080 TI FE with the "ASUS GeForce GTX 1080Ti ROG Strix Gaming")

Why these parts specificly?

I've been trying to keep it to 1 website (https://www.komplett.dk/), and they only have so many parts :)

Something.

Glad to see another dane here. I think that for a 25k dkr build you should at least get a broadwell cpu. I used ~17k dkr on a 7700K, GTX 1080, 32GB Dominator Plat build so surely you can get much more.

EDIT: Nevermind did not see that the price included a monitor. But still, check my System under my profile. You can get much more for your money.

Get this SSD instead

https://www.komplett.dk/product/828771/hardware/lagring/harddiskssd/ssd-25/samsung-850-evo-1tb-25-ssd

Don't get a Razer kb, they are know for poor build quality

This KB https://www.komplett.dk/product/857535/gaming/gamingmus-keyboard/keyboard/corsair-gaming-k95-rgb-keyboard-brun#

Or if too big then this (they come in different switches too) https://www.komplett.dk/product/853861/gaming/gamingmus-keyboard/keyboard/corsair-gaming-strafe-rgb-tastatur-roed

Ever thought of water cooling? Also Noctua might look ugly but sure hell is a good cooler. Strix Z270 E has Wifi and bluetooth if you need

Also Maximus IX Code and Formula has that cool shield protection

Also for silence check Dark Rock Pro 3 cooler

Yeah else no complains.

Well, isn't that a bit too much for just MMO games?

And I would always go with Ryzen, because if you ever want to do some content creation (you said you want to do recording, maybe a bit more in the future? ) you trade a few fps for a "better" alround CPU, but that's just my bias opinion.

i5 6500 @3.2Ghz, Zotac GTX 1080 Ti Mini, 16GB DDR4 @2400Mhz, 240GB SSD, 1TB HDD, Corsair Vengance 650W, Asus Z170 Pro Gaming, Thermaltake Versa U21, Hyper 103

AOC Agon AG271UG 27" 4k G-Sync, G933, G502, G801

If he wanted the extra cpu cores a Ryzen build would be better (Cheaper) than X99.

I was looking at that keyboard aswell, and it did seem good. But i would need to get additional/other switches (shouldn't be a problem), since the sound from the mx brown is a bit too much (on voice-com most of the time).

I'm not planing on doing content creation, just recording for kill video's or self improvement :)

And danm you guys are fast >.<

"reasoning for the sound being too much was unclear"
