i7 4720HQ vs i5 7600k vs i7 7700

Hey guys, im currently doing most of my gaming and editing on my laptop which runs a i7 4720HQ processor and im planning to buy a new desktop, may i know if the i5 7600k will have the same smooth editing and gaming experience as the i7 4720HQ if not, should i get the i7 7700.

They're almost the same stuffs, just a tiny bit of difference, so if want to save money, go for 7600k, if not then go for 7700.

PS the wattage is higher on 7600k

I agree. Going with an I5 is maybe a better choice for gaming because of the higher clocks than the locked I7 but for productivity those threads are usefull.

Actually, it isn't that bad and provides a decent comparative approximation, except for some bits that just glitch out, like 'peak overclock' on locked chips.

It's far better than CPU/GPU 'Boss'.

lets say im over my budget, should i downgrade the i7 to i5 or stay with the i7
