maybe from amd themselves, asshat. they released what cards would run on the crimson drivers used for the 480, meaning it is the same architecture. VEGA is something else entirely

I bought a 480 because my R9 270 was like a vacuum cleaner. I am looking at the prices of the 580/Vega whatever now and thinking I would rather have the 580 but I am pretty happy with the 480 so far. It always comes down to what you are willing to spend. I'm happy for now.
