Weird GPU..

nope it is a brand new rx460

no, it's just using X8 instead of the full x16

 

it doesn't need full X16, so they just made it use x8 instead. quite cool. reminds me of the old GT730 x1 cards

that's not a GPU, it's a video card

and the PCIe wiring looks like 8X - nothing wrong with that, just reducing the Copper usage

Yeah not even a gtx 1080ti needs the full bandwidth of the priest 16x so I'm pretty sure you will be fine with the rx 460 running on a 8x configuration

Video card is the whole unit and the gpu is the "cpu of the video card" <- not actualy but you get the point

You guys are so futuristic, they always called it a "Graphics accelerator" in the 90's, because it was capable of 3D rendered polygons...
