headphone wire question

i have a pear of headphone with a mic, and i want to use both on the same time on my tower, but there is not a mic/headphone jack, so i was wondering if you could tell me the name of the adapter to solve this problem

If you're going from a four pole cable you can get a four pole to split headphone/microphone cables.

^ is correct, you can sometimes get away with plugging the 4 pole into a 3 pole, but sometimes not.
