480 4g vs 1060 3g

Im building my first pc soon and I'm trying to decided my graphics card. a lot of people have told me lots of different things about these two card and i wondered if someone could help me out

the rx 480 4gb would be the better choice, enough vram, performs better and has freesync support which doesn't cost much more than a regular monitor.
