If my build will have an estimated use of 469w, what power supply should I get?

We don't know which calculator you used but ussually it's 100W + the recommended amount but some calc's add that already.

You would think Ubisoft would support the Bulldozer based architectures more given their digging themed names like bulldozer, Piledriver, Steamroller and Excavator.

It also depends on how quiet you want your build to be, if you don't care about noise, then anything gold rated or above with a decent amount of headroom for overclocks should be fine... there is a PSU tier list, I would go with anything tier1/2 personally. If you want less noise, choose one that has an "eco" mode maybe that doesn't spin up the fan unless it hits a certain amount of temperature or % of power eg 40%, so if it's only idling while you are watching youtube vids etc then less noise, and if you're gaming the fans kick in as the power went above 40% of total. I much prefer these PSUs, I have the EVGA p850 in my main rig, it comes with a 10 year warranty, but is around £130 or so... to me that represents value for 10 years worth of use or possibly more, works out at £13 a year. The g2/g3 models are also good buys though and also come with a decent warranty of 10 years IIRC, depends where you are in the world though.

What are your system specs? A random number a calculator somewhere on the internet spat out does nothing to help us. Most of those calculators are sponsored by a PSU company or have some other incentive to exaggerate how much power your system will demand.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
