My specs are as follows:

CPU:              AMD Ryzen 1700

Motherboard: Asus Prime X370-Pro

RAM:              Kingston HyperX 2x16GB

GPU:              AMD RX480 8GB (haven't decided which varity I want to go with)

PSU:              SIlverstone Strider ST85F-PT (850W 80+Platnium rated)

Storage:         WD Black 256GB (NVMe M.2 SSD)

Those parts are already bought and is on the way to my house, and I was looking for a case to enclose all of this in, and I am having a hard time deciding on a case that I would like and fit the requirements for what I have planned in the (hopefully not too distant) future.

I would like to do a custom watercooling loop with another RX480 in CrossFire, but I also do not want a big case.

I would like your help on a case that would be able to fit the cooling parts for my (planned) system.

P.S. Also, an advice on what is recommended or the optimun rad size (in total for all 3 components) for my intended build would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Hmm, well the problem is, the Custom Cooling loop, the issue is not rad space, but the probelm is with the Res/pump setup, i'd suggest most  Phanteks cases, since they seem to be mid tower with all the support, Also, you can get the NZXT S340 but youll need a very thick rad or a 280

Main PC:| CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 @ 4.1, MOBO: Asus B350 PRIME , RAM: LPX Vengance 2400 16gb kit, GPU: 980Ti Poseidon Platinum 6gb

Don't do crossfire. If you want more performance buy a better GPU.

Fractal Design always does a great job with cases that are custom loop friendly. I would honestly recommend giving them a look. The recommended rad size (at least according to Jay fro Jayztwocents) is the biggest one that will fit in your case. He also consistently says longer is better then thicker.

I agree with this, don't plan multi GPU from the off, it should be thought of an upgrade path down the line

Theres a lot of good cases out, for a potential crossfire + CPU set up I would suggest a minimum thick 360. ideally a normal 360 + a 240. I use a thick 240 and a normal 360 at the moment for a 1080 GTX, mobo vrms and a 4790k, temps are good. If you go with a single rad you're gonna need to run the fan speeds high to keep the temps down.

For 2x 970's, 4790k and vrms I used 2x 360 + 240 rads but that was an extreme dual loop rig

would it not help for 3D modeling and rendering?

thank you for your input @stealth80!

I was actually thinking of adding a second GPU if I felt like I need more performance, but with the VEGA not too far away, I may even go that route entirely.
