My first PC build (budget with some easy mods)

becko77

This is my first build, went the budget route. But I was able to make some easy mods that made a ton of difference. I nicknamed it "Blackbird"

Specs-

Processer - Intel i3-6100

CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper T4

Case - Cooler Master N200

Memory - Team Elite 2x8GB (16GB total)

Storage - Western Digital Blue 1TB HDD

            - Kingston Digital  120GB SSD

Motherboard - MSI B150M Mortar Micro ATX

GPU - Gigabyte GTX 1050ti 4GB

Powersupply - Rosewill ARC-M550 550W

I started with the Cooler Master N200 mATX case and modded the items below

-Made a custom side window cut out, and added a piece of plexi

-Added an aftermarket RGB led light kit
-Took out the 2.5" bay and the 3.5" bay (I had to drill out a couple rivets to do this)
-Cut a slot in the frame near the top of the MOBO to route the 8 pin power connector.

I also painted the top of the Hyper T4 cooler and the heat spreaders on the memory black. As well as adding a black sleeved 24 pin extension cable.

I love that you added that 24 pin extension, a few bucks but really make a difference in the appearance!

Thanks. Great work computer and great gaming on medium settings 1920x1080. Gets the job done and then some.

Hands down one of the cleanest first builds I've ever seen.

I also removed every sticker that I could see.

I didn't even notice that the window was custom, it turned out so well that I thought it came like that! Funny thing is, I built my aunt's computer in this case.
