Sofia. ( FINISHED)

IMG_2638.jpg

Hi all.

Project Sofia came to light one day when I was watching Sofia The First on tv with my 4 year old daughter.
One of those grab a coffee and chill for 5 minute times.
I was already in talks with Antec uk on a project, myself and my fiancée own a few antec cases.media centre and my personal build.
Whilst watching the kids show with my daughter, the colour theme and build came to life.
Something small, clean lines, elegant, like Sofia in the tv show, and it had to have a wow factor on the colour scheme.
So I passed my plans on to Antec, and the green light was given.

SOFIA UPDATE:-

Well Sofia is ready for paint, just waiting on the paint from House Of Kolor.
Myself and my lady done some testing with the pump and res yesterday, and both of us were mesmerised by the fluid running through the #alphacool plexi pump block.
So we put our heads together and thought why not show the top of the block off.
A little measuring and dremmel action, and it was done.
I will raise the block by 24mm,this will give me the affect I want.
Why hide something away that looks cool and adds more colour to the finished build.
All measurements are done for the acrylic work, and all fits perfectly like a glove.

Wow, an Antec case; welcome to the year 2000! xD

Joking aside though, the case looks great, and if this build turns out like I'm imagining from your description, it really will look pretty sweet. Best of luck with it!

I miss Antec cases. Used them for like my first 5 builds before they kind of disappeared from producing solid enthusiast cases.

Stuff looks good so far, will be interested to see how it turns out.

Hi all
Sorry the updates have been thin on the ground.
It's taken a while to get the case to paint, well for them to fit it in their busy schedules.
A lot of prep went into getting all the parts to the perfection that John wanted.
But today we finally got the base coats down on the chassis and exterior panels.and on the Alphacool radiator casings.
The chassis has had a white base coat, next is the candy white and then a clear high gloss show lacquer.
The exterior panels have had the custom mixed purple base coat, next it's the custom purple candy.then it's the high gloss show lacquer with a little metal flake.
Here's a few pictures

Hi all.
I'm just waiting for the Antec Cube case to come back from paint, the airbrushing was completed today.
They are applying the high gloss lacquer with a little metal flake in it tomorrow,so hoping to get it back by the end of the weekend.
So whilst waiting for that,I got some last little bits finished.
The Antec TrueQuiet 120 UFO fans have a semi transparent fan blade, which look good but not the finished look I was looking for.
I wanted a plain white halo ring, there's plenty of case lighting going on so wasn't needing the light glowing through the blades.

The Waterblocks doesnt match the theme if i was there i would get red waterblocks

Red with purple and white.....nah dude.

but if that's your taste,cool.

all the fittings are chrome, matching the blocks.

the colour theme is from Sofia the first kids show, the princess where a purple dress, white pearls on it,and a silver necklace with a purple amulet on it.

thats what all the colours are.

Ahh I see, just wondered was all :D

I saw the data cables and was like "Hmm, but if you have the data cables don't you need the power too" kind of rhetorical question, but also considered that I may have missed the power cables tucked away or some new power connection I'm not aware of.

Anyway, love the build, not my cup of tea being a bloke, but it's a nice fun looking build for the misses or a child, and very aesthetically pleasing. Keep up the good work :)
