witch card(s) is better

Now that the GTX 1080ti is released I need help.

 

I have a very old Gtx 680 4GB and i´m thinking to upgrade, but i don´t know which way i should go.

 

1070 in SLI

1080

1080 ti

 

whose would come in my pc:

 

i7 5820k

16GB DDR4 3000Mhz Corsair

on a x99a Gaming 7 mainboard

so i´m thinking is the CPU a brake for sli and is it better?

I have a 4k monitor so i would like play on 4k (witch i cant right now)

and i have a 1080p 144hz monitor

 

Witch way would be better for me

1080Ti

SLI has it's own can of worm problems, and the 1080Ti is about 25-30% better than the 1080

Uhhhh Glinda The Good Witch of the South is supposed to be good... though according to Wicked the Musical,  Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West is supposed to be good also but people think she is evil.  I have no idea WHICH one is better.
