1080ti struggling with 1080p

So ill start with my system specs.

 

i7 4790k 4.6ghz

16gb 1866mhz

msi g45 mobo

gtx 1080ti stock clocks 

750w 80+bronze

 

My display is a 34" 2560x1080 ultrawide ( saving up for an x34 )

 

 

My problem is with Wildlands. This game is apparently too intensive for the almighty 1080ti. On the ultra preset im struggling to maintain 60fps. Averaging about 55 at most points. 

 

Is this right? has anyone else noticed this? I know its a new game could it just poorly optimized?

Ghost Recon is the shittiest optimized game I've seen from ubisoft (or anyone for that matter) ever... and yes, I'm aware AC:Unity exists.

i notice a difference between 50 and 60 fps. especially when shooting.

So far it sounds like the games had huge optimization and bug issues causing performance hits everywhere. It's become an issue people have complained about.

I posted a fix for this game

basically turn off the nvidiot effects 

godrays to on 

turf effects off 

and hbao down to ssbc 

and ul get a big big increase and the game looks legit the same I went from 45 fps to 90 at 1440p

and by game I mean nvidiots input into the game
