save up, sell it and get an all new one

(sorry if it sounds harsh)

PSU is Junk, any upgrade to a higher end part I would advise a new one.

Any GPU upgrade, CPU is massive bottleneck to anything higher than a 1050.

Any CPU upgrade and GPU is massive bottleneck. All current CPUs require DDR4 RAM unless you go with say a use older setup.

in that case, if you want to livestream, it really depends on your budget.

tell me that, and I can build you a new system on pcpartpicker

Depends. You could easily get $250 for the PC from the right seller. If you want to start streaming you don't need to spend a whole ton but I suggest seeing what the R5 Lineup from Ryzen does. If you can sell this PC for $250, that'll pay for the R5 1400x and a kit of DDR4 RAM. Beyond that, say $140 for an RX 470, $50 for a decent PSU, $90 for B350 board, $100 for an HDD/SSD and $30-$50 for a case.

If you can get $380 + sell the PC for at least $225 then you'll be pretty good

My father in this case is telling me to figure out what the budget should be for me and Im not sure because I havent kept up with computers and parts for 2 years. Im not planning to play AAA games at ULTRA 4K or someshit but I just want a strong gaming editing/streaming system that can last me a lil bit. (and I can upgrade overtime)

a few questions:

- do you plan on overclocking the system

- can you wait a few months for ryzen 5? (Q2 2017)

alright.

Basically, Ryzen 7 is a line of 8 core CPUs which disrupted the high end CPU market, challenging Intel's X99 consumer CPUs (6-cores and 8-cores like 5960X, 6800K, 6900K)

AMD has promised that Ryzen 5, which will be 6 and 4 cores, will come in Q2, and it will probably completely disrupt intel's core i5 lineup, and their flagship desktop processor. (7700K)

this will most likely lead to a huge price drop for intel CPUs, and really good CPUs will be available for WAY less than they are now.

if you can wait for Ryzen 5, you can get a good 6-core streaming machine for about 800USD, or alternatively if that's too much, a nice 4-core machine for 650USD.

*note that prices are speculation, and they may vary once Ryzen 5 actually launches

**all CPUs talking about here have Hyperthreading, so even a Ryzen 4-core is like an i7

AMD Said Q2 (Between April 1st and June 30th)

I'd like to think that it will be in April or early may, because AMD really needs to get this out there, but you never know. I'd place my bets on 1.5-2 Months

*Ahem* Excuse me for reviving this post but now that we see what the new Ryzen CPUs are priced at Is there a way we can take a Ryzen CPU and put it with a Nividia 1060? Since Idk why but people reccomend this card more than the 480.

Absolutely.

I'd recommend the RX 480, which almost everyone on the forum will agree is better than the 1060 (I have a link in my sig explaining why).

Just tell me your budget and I will make you a parts list. (assuming you live in the US. if not, tell me and I'll make you a list with parts in whatever currency you prefer.)
