1. What other name does the hypervisor have? (couldn't find an answer to this one besides barebone hypervisor)

2.Why is maintaining a state in virtualization solutions important? (is this asking about save states?)

3.what is required for an entry level virtualization solution (is it asking what is the minimum requirements for a VM?)

Some help would be appreciated Thanks! :)

1, The other name for Hypervisor is VMM a.k.a Virtual Machine Monitor.

Reason why it's called a hypervisor is because the kernel is traditionally called the supervisor. Hyper is above Super so it's the supervisor of the supervisors a.k.a the kernels of the guest OSs.

2, I'm not entirely sure what that question is referring to exactly.

3, The minimum is hardware that has Virtualization tech enabled on the CPU and is supported by the mobo. Assuming you have those 2, it's then having an OS that is capable of supporting a guest OS.

Yeah, reminds me of some of the darn Sec+ questions.  Major pain in the butt even though those questions were multi choice.
