What do you mean BIOS is not an option?

There's a guide here: http://www.overclock.net/t/575551/tutorial-how-to-overclock-a-e8400-to-3-6ghz-24-7

but if you can't change them values in your BIOS then you won't be able to overclock.

Does you mum know you're here?

You can overclock processors with locked multipliers, BUT it has to be done by increasing the FSB so if you can't access BIOS I don't know how you plan on doing it.

- ASUS X99 Deluxe - i7 5820k - Nvidia GTX 1080ti SLi - 4x4GB EVGA SSC 2800mhz DDR4 - Samsung SM951 500 - 2x Samsung 850 EVO 512 -

- EK Supremacy EVO CPU Block - EK FC 1080 GPU Blocks - EK XRES 100 DDC - EK Coolstream XE 360 - EK Coolstream XE 240 -

Is there any way to unlock my CPU, or get past it? I have seen tons of E8400 OC's to around 3.6 Ghz.

You have no options in BIOS at all? There should be something...

If there isn't, then I suppose you should resort to THAT program. It's risky, time consuming and stupid, but it's your only shot if BIOS is out of question.

.... this is LGA775 m80, there was nothing like that back then lol. its all FSB, BCLK and memory. the main problem here would likely be motherboard VRMs that most likely wont hold up to much and capacitor death aswell

OP here you go:

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
