PCI Serial Port Doesnt Have Driver, Error Code 28

Go to solution Solved by SiameseD,

I figured it out, on the HP support page the driver i needed wasnt listed, i found the correct driver and its all good. Thank You!

Hey, my PC lately has been bugging out, and whenever i open device manager a PCI Serial Port pops up under Other Devices with an error symbol. I cant find any drivers for it, or any info on what/who the manufacturer is. Here are some screenshots of Device Manager and Troubleshooting.

Also, everyonce in a while while i play CSGO i get a BSOD error saying SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED and the file it names is CMUSBDAC.sys

I believe this is a fault of the Serial Port.

I have looked into it, my pc is an old HP Compaq 8000 Elite Convertible Minitower with a GT 630 slapped in it. I have gone to HP's site and looked my computer up, and they only have drivers for systems up to win 8. I have Windows Windows 10 Pro. So what should i do?

your bsod has nothing to do with the PCI serial port. It clearly says USB CMUSBDAC, that's probably C-Media USB DAC, your soundcard. And he PCI serial port, really isn't a serial port. It's more of some remote management feature or something from the chipset.
