If you just need a simple unmanaged switch, pretty much any gigabit switch from a decent company like TPLink or Netgear will do.

I just bought a Netgear Prosafe GS108 for about £25 from PCWorld the other day it works great, so I can recommend that model personally.

I have a couple D-Link switches (3 5 port switches and 1 8 port switch) and no complaints about them.

Seen cheap D link consumer switches bring down the entire network in a building. Not that they were ever meant to be in that kind og environment, but the small 5 and 8 port Cisco unmanaged gigabit switches that replaced them are way better.

been told TP link makes good hardware if you need a cheaper alternatve.

^^ been using that for a while no issues whatsoever for £11, and amazon reviews are pretty darn impressive too lol... as @FoolishlyWise said - anything netgear is brilliant.

I have a couple of Easy Smart switches from TP-Link and they worked very well on top of being cheap.

Normally its the same model as a consumer one ending on "E".

TL-SG108E

The offer a few cool features that a unmanaged switch doesnt such as Vlans, loop control, packet priorization, port priotization, etc

http://www.tp-link.com/us/products/details/cat-41_TL-SG108E.html

34$ on Amazon currently: https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Gigabit-Ethernet-Managed-TL-SG108E/dp/B00K4DS5KU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488995312&sr=8-1&keywords=TL-SG108E

Be carefull that Unmanaged model looks almost the same and has almost the same model number. The "E" at the end is important and is what distinguishes them.
