Can anyone recommend a tablet for my Mom?

Luke

I'm not looking for a "i love this brand and own this tablet therefore you should buy it" type of recommendation but rather i'm curious which are THE best tablets under $150USD / $200 CAD. Anyone know? If it were computer parts i could recommend someone the best option but when it comes to tablets i have no clue. I'm also considering buying something used on ebay but i'm not sure which models to look for. Help is much appreciated.

7-8" or 10.1"?

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 is pretty good for a smaller tablet, otherwise you could look into the Asus Zenpads.

I don't recommend things i haven't tried but i can for sure tell you to buy a second-hand nexus tablet (one of the newer ones, the fin one with the camera the fatter ones are slow i think asus made that one). They are cheap and fast plus you can get different model with a SIM slot different storage sizes and all very afforable.

(if you go for a nexus get a fast charger cos they tend to charge slower than other devices)

A ipad mini is also a decent tablet but more expensive. (1st gen)

Samsung also make cheap and nice tablet and beautiful screens but they feel sort of sluggish IMO.
